What is Plasma Pen?
Plasma Pen is the most advanced, non-invasive skin tightening and rejuvenation device. The Plasma Pen can be used in a number of procedures to enhance looks without the need for expensive and invasive surgery. This plasma device has been perfected across thousands of treatments all over the world. This device will help you get a brighter, more contoured, and more youthful appearance.
Benefits of Plasma Pen
Plasma Pen “fibroblastic” is highly versatile and is very effective in smoothing out wrinkles. tightening the eyelids, and can lift and rejuvenate any area of the skin. Plasma Pen can:
- Improve and brighten skin tone, laxity, and texture
- Tighten loose skin
- Dramatically reduce, inflate, and plump lines and wrinkles
Why Plasma Pen?
As we age, the dermal layer thins and less collagen is produced which causes our skin to wrinkle and sag. The Plasma Pen and our fibroblasting technique are designed to dramatically repair, reverse, and mitigate these signs of aging.
How Does Plasma Pen Work?
The Plasma Pen works by converting electrical energy into electrostatic energy which is transmitted to the probe by impulse. At about 1mm from the skin, oxygen and nitrogen are mixed to produce an arc of plasma which discharges onto the epidermis. There is an immediate contraction of the skin tissue and also thermal disruption within the dermis. This stimulates collagen production for the next few months, and also activates and releases important proteins in the dermis.
The highly accurate and controlled trauma that is caused to the epidermis makes the skin dry superficially into tiny carbon crusts, which falls off within a few days. After this falls off, you will have beautiful and rejuvenated skin at the surface.

How Long Do The Results Last From The Plasma Pen?
The effects of the Plasma Pen last around 3 years, although many results are permanent.
Before
We recommend you arrive 15 mins prior to your appointment for the treated area/a to be numbed using topical anaesthetic. The treatment may be moderately more uncomfortable on more sensitive areas such as the eyelids where the skin is at its thinnest. However, the treatments are very quick and efficient so this will minimise any potential discomfort.
After
Immediately following treatment, the area may feel slightly warm – we recommend a cold compress (covered in a lint cloth) over the area to reduce the heat sensation. We also supply you with an aftercare gel which is cooling and soothing and should be applied 3 times daily for 7 days following treatment.
Eye Treatment Area
- Day of treatment: Some swelling. Feels hot like a sunburn. This feeling can last for up to 3 hours+
- Day 1: (Next day post-treatment): Lots of swelling (the most swelling), especially in the morning.
- Day 2: Swelling.
- Day 3: Itchy sensation and tightness. Swelling decreases. Dots dry and may start to fall off.
Remember
We recommend you arrive 15 mins prior to your appointment for the treated area/a to be numbed using topical anaesthetic. The treatment may be moderately more uncomfortable on more sensitive areas such as the eyelids where the skin is at its thinnest. However, the treatments are very quick and efficient so this will minimise any potential discomfort.
- Swelling
You will notice most of the swelling on the first morning after treatment, particularly around the eyes. Swelling usually lasts two to three days.
- Avoid salt and alcohol
- Avoid body dry brushing
- Heat/Sunburn/Stinging
Feeling hot like a sunburn stinging sensation is normal immediately after the treatment and for the rest of that night.
- Itchiness
You will start to feel itchy from the 3rd day. Do not pick at the dots. The itchiness sensation means that the dots are starting to heal and are getting ready to dry and fall off.
- Dry skin
Your skin may feel dry, peel or flake. You may notice a “sandpaper” texture a few days after treatment. This is the treated tissue working its way out of your body as new fresh skin is regenerated.
- Redness
Most redness resolves during the first week after treatment, but a rosy “glow” can remain for several weeks. After the carbon crusts (dots) have fallen off, 5 to 7 days after the treatment, that’s when you can apply your normal coverage of makeup.
- Raw Skin
If you develop areas of raw skin post treatment, keep them moist with the provided ointment and our Fibroblast Aftercare. You do not need to apply band-aids, but keep the areas moist and do not pick at them. They will heal very rapidly on their own and without problems.
- Weeping
Initially, after treatment and for a day or so afterward, there may be occasional weeping (yellow pus). This is simply plasma and is a natural healing response. This simply flakes off after a few days but in some cases can take over 1 week.
- Bronzing, Crusting and Small Dark Spots
A Fibroblast treatment causes destruction to microscopic cylinders of skin which then exfoliates during the healing process. Fibroblast can make the skin look bronzed or small, circular carbon crusts will appear (DO NOT PICK, SCRATCH OR REMOVE). Scratching or rubbing off any carbon deposits may result in hypo-pigmentation of the skin that may not be able to be reversed, as well as scarring. Please refrain from all scratching, rubbing and picking and treatment areas.
1 week After Treatment
Wash the area gently with warm water, carefully pat dry. Apply a small pea size of Aftercare cream 2 x per day and:

- Use only the skin care provided until the crusts are completely fallen off
- Protect the treated area with an appropriate sun screen cream +50
- Once the crusts are gone you can go back to your normal skincare and skin products/application of make up on treated area/s
